Caffè Florian's pop up gelato cart,with six mouth-watering flavors – tiramisu, chocolate, cookies and cream, yoghurt, mango and summer berries, awaits you at Suzhou’s first ever Squiffy Cocktail Festival this weekend.

Gelato——Impassable classic ice cream

"Gelato"is the Italian term for ice cream. Or to be politically correct, it refers to artisan style Italian ice cream.

Gelato has roots that stretch back hundreds of years to frozen desserts in Sicily – snow and ice were brought down from mountaintops during winter and preserved below ground to battle the summer heat. Due to its scarcity, gelato was an old-aged delicacy only the nobilities got to enjoy. Nowadays, gelato is one of Italy's most loved exports and can be found in all corners of the world.
